Natural Insomnia Treatment In South Dublin

You’re not broken.
Your brain just can’t switch off.

Tried everything they suggested?

Your GP prescribed something. Maybe it worked for a while. Maybe it left you foggy. Either way, you knew it wasn’t the answer.

You’ve cut the screens, kept the routine, tried the magnesium. You’ve done everything right.

You know more about sleep hygiene than most GPs. And you’re still awake at 3am with a racing heart and a mind that won’t stop.

The exhaustion is inside everything now — your work, your patience, your body, your sense of yourself. You don’t feel like you anymore.

Your brain has forgotten how to stand down.

Sleep isn’t just a habit. It’s a neurological state — and your body can only enter it when your nervous system shifts from a state of activation into a state of rest.

But when you spend years under sustained cognitive and emotional load — carrying responsibility for others, running on adrenaline, managing more than your body was designed to manage without recovery — your nervous system gradually loses the ability to make that shift reliably. It gets stuck in the activated state. Even when there’s nothing left to brace for.

The hormone your body needs to initiate sleep — melatonin — can only rise when cortisol falls. When your nervous system is locked in chronic activation, cortisol doesn't fall at the right time. Your body is biochemically unable to downregulate on demand, no matter how tired you are.

This is why the sleeping tablets worked only partially, or stopped working, or left you feeling worse. They create the chemical conditions for sleep temporarily — but they don’t change the underlying pattern. The moment they wear off, your nervous system returns to exactly where it was. Because nobody addressed the pattern.

FAQ's About Our Insomnia Treatment

Your GP is working within a system designed to manage symptoms — and sleeping tablets do exactly that. They create the chemical conditions for sleep temporarily without changing anything about how your nervous system is functioning. What we do is different in its starting point: we measure your nervous system first, identify the specific pattern of dysregulation driving your insomnia, and work directly with that. It’s not a better version of the same approach. It’s a different approach entirely.

No. The brain retains its capacity for change throughout adult life — this is neuroplasticity, and it doesn’t have an expiry date. What chronic insomnia usually means is that a surface-level approach won’t be sufficient. The nervous system pattern has been established over a long period and needs to be addressed at that level. That’s exactly where we start.

Very possibly — and it’s something we take seriously. The relationship between perimenopause, declining progesterone, elevated cortisol, and disrupted sleep is significant and consistently under-addressed in conventional care. If your sleep has worsened in your late thirties or forties, particularly alongside increased anxiety, night waking, or temperature changes, hormonal factors are very likely part of the picture. Our approach to nervous system regulation directly supports the body’s resilience through those shifts.

Most patients notice some change within the first four to six weeks of care — typically falling asleep more easily or waking less frequently through the night. More sustained and significant improvement generally builds over three to six months of consistent care. At your initial assessment we’ll give you a realistic picture of what to expect for your specific situation, based on what your nervous system is actually showing us.
