Why do we experience stress?
The stress response is a result of your brain and nervous system’s response to the environment around you. There are three main types of stress: physical (e.g. trauma), chemical (e.g. pharmaceuticals, unhealthy food, polluted air) and emotional (e.g. financial, work, relationships, bereavement). Taking away these stressors in your life is not entirely possible but it is possible for your mind and body to adapt to these stressors and become more resilient to stress.
